The second leg of the Copa do Brasil final between Coritiba and Palmeiras was played in Curitiba. The home fans did everything they could to make their team come back from the 2-0 loss they suffered in the first leg, and they did so mainly with a really impressive strobo show at the player entrance. Their efforts were in vain though, as Palmeiras managed to draw and took the title.

Great atmosphere in São Paulo as Corinthians wins their first Copa Libertadores title.
After beating Boca Juniors 2-0, the title was Corinthians’, and as this is being written they’re probably still partying in São Paulo. This title was extra special for the fans, as it was the first time their time managed to win the Libertadores. Lots of flares, and great atmosphere from the Corinthians fans. Boca Juniors did have quite a nice following, but they were, understandably, not having one of their best nights.
San Lorenzo won the playoff, and remains in the Primera Division
After winning 0-2 away against Instituto Cordoba, San Lorenzo had it all in their own hands to secure a spot in the Primera Division the coming season. The team did what they should (drawing 1-1), in front of packed stands, and the atmosphere was electric and absolutely amazing. Look at how full the stands are and listen to the amazing singing. World class!

Copa Libertadores final, first leg. Boca Juniors – Corinthians
Great atmosphere in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca Juniors and Corinthians. The Argentinians heavily outnumbred the brazilians, of course, but the pyro from the brazilians was great during the second half. With the score 1-1, the return leg is going to be an interesting game.

San Lorenzo avoid direct relegation
San Lorenzo avoided the direct relegation by beating San Martin San Juan 3-1, after having been down 0-1. The look of relief was shared by both the players and the fans as the disaster was avoided. However, they will still have to play a relegation playoff against Instituto Cordoba.

River Plate promoted to Primera División
It only took River one year to get back to the Primera Division. The last game was decisive if they would get promoted and you can clearly sense a tension in the pictures below. But River beat Almiente Brown 2-0, and the scenes of joy and relief that followed are great. Let’s just hope San Lorenzo don’t get relegated, so that we can have a season with all the big 5 present.

Return leg of the Copa Libertadores semi final – Corinthians – Santos
A minor upset from the Corinthians team on the pitched helped the fans on the terraces to make raise the atmosphere another notch. Good performance from the black and white home fans. A few Santos fans as well, but heavily out numbered, they didn’t manage to break through the noise level of the home fans.

Copa Libertadores semi final – Santos against Corinthians
Copa Libertadores is coming to an end, and the atmosphere is getting heated. Santos hosted Brazilian rivals Corinthians in one of the semi finals, and the pyro in the stands were impressive.
Before the game, the fans met the player’s bus, as it arrived to the stadium. The amount of flares and fireworks here is just amazing.
As Santos were down 0-1, there were some smaller trouble in the stands and the police decided to move in. This lead to more fights and even to a police helmet being thrown onto the field.
